Friday June 18, 2010: Continue Education: Level Two. You may continue your education previously received in May or you can begin your education here. Level two will continue with the trainers in educating you and your horse on obstacle training and trail riding advancement.

9:00am.................Registration/Breakfast: $100.00 to attend clinic for horse and rider.$35.00 to observe clinic. Tommie Turvey will be accepting 7 riders for a private clinic at $400.00 for two days of training.
To book the 2 day training with Tommie Turvey call his office at 815-626-3155.

10:00am.......................Saddle Up and Work with our trainers or Tommie in problem solving.
12:00pm.......................Lunch (Provided by Van Bert Farms)
1:00pm........................Teaching Weanlings and Yearlings Obstacles...by Larry Patterson
1:30pm........................Obstacle/Competitive Trail Riding/Eventing Techniques
3:00pm........................Break (snack provided by Van Bert Farms)
3:30pm........................Saddle Up and continue working with your trainer.
5:00pm........................Give your horse a carrot for a job well done.

Show what you have learned and receive Prize Money for your efforts.
(Clinic participation is not required to enter this event)
9:00am .......................Breakfast for participants.
10:00am......................Combined stadium obstacle and a 6-10 mile trail ride event with intermediate judged obstacles. Limited to the first 50 horses registered.
Map of obstacle course will be received upon entry fee of $100.00.

Prize money: 1st place $1,000.00, 2nd place $500.00, 3rd place $300.00, 4th place $100.00, 5th place $100.00.
11:00am…………......2nd day for individuals registered with Tommie Turvey.
3:00pm………………Break
4:00pm......................Exhibition from Tommie Turvey

                                    Trainers will be assigned to individuals.

 3:00pm.......................Break

 3:30pm.......................Mock Stadium Obstacle Competition: Topic: What Am I Doing Wrong?
                                     Questions and Answers with demonstrations to apply to any obstacle.

 5:00pm.......................Put your horse to bed

 

Saturday: October 16, 2010          Open to all Breeds!

 9:00am....................Registration/Breakfast suggested donation of $50.00
                                 ride will benefit United Mountain Horse, Inc a KY non-profit organization.

10:00am...................Prepare your horse for transport (15 miles)

11:00am...................Leave Farm

11:30am...................Unload and Tack Up

12:00pm...................Ride More Scenic Vistas (advanced beginner ride approximately 15 miles)

                                 pack your saddle bags for lunch on the trail.
3:30pm....................Load Up to head home/Van Bert Farms

 6:00pm....................Dinner Provided by Van Bert Farms

 7:00pm....................Hay Ride around the farm

 8:00pm....................Campfire and Music
