Now that show season is over and all the hoop-la has settled down, We have the opportunity to live our other passion; trail riding. The first weekend of October found us in Vermont. What a place to ride! Of course the first weekend of October is is the peak of the leaf color. I cannot describe to you the beauty that is all around. Vistas of vibrant color, with bubbling brooks splashing across the rolling hills. Small villages dot the countryside as if Charles Dickens had placed them there. Riding a horse across the meadows and farms gives one the feeling of peace and tranquility. Gone are the worries of tomorrow, because it is so wonderful to be with friends and riding your favorite horse in such beauty today

"Then it was off to Love Valley, North Carolina!"
Then it was off to Love Valley, North Carolina for the SMHC sponsored trail ride on November 3rd 4th and 5th. Love Valley is a beautiful place. The rides are very scenic and picturesque. The SMHC sponsored a wonderful breakfast for all riders on Saturday and Sunday. It was a great time to renew old acquaintances and share stories of the past show season. Everyone experienced a wonderful time.

Thanksgiving was spent at our cabin at Wilderness Resort in Oneida, Tennessee. Everyone knows how we feel about the trails in Big South Fork National Park. Dakota and Darrell Strawberry, two of the horses on our Sales Page were able to get extra experience on both the North Carolina and the Big South rides. Both horses were exemplary in their behavior and are excellent trail mounts. As much as we get to ride them it is always a new experience. Friends and family met for a long weekend, riding the trails, spending some real quality time together and giving thanks for all we have been able to experience and enjoy in our great country.
